Is it safe to wear an underwired bra when pregnant or breast feeding?

Technology has moved on so much these days that they have been able to design a soft wire. This is a lot more flexible than wires used in taditional bras. It is also longer than the ones used in traditional bras, designed that way so they sit around the cup so as not to press against the breast tissue and where the breast milk is developing.
As most pregnant or nursing mothers grow at least one or two cup sizes the additional support of a wired bra makes such a difference.
